A couple of years ago I downloaded an album, which played  OK until I recently.
Windows Media Player tells me that the license from 7digital comes from an address which is no loger there.

Is it because I changed my account details, or has 7Digital chamged something with the license for the album I downloaded?

Hi Nezz,

I'm really sorry for the difficulties you've encountered.

The errors you're experiencing are related to the file format (WMV) of your old music purchases: since late 2008, 7digital has been offering licence-free downloads without DRM (Digital Rights Management) encryption. This means that the music you purchase from us will not be locked to one computer and you are free to move it between as many devices as you wish.

As we have fully moved towards DRM-free content in the last years, we are unfortunately no longer able to support DRM-protected files. As you have purchased protected WMV files from us in the past, this means that you will no longer be able to re-license these files - although copies that are already licensed will keep working fine.

I sincerely apologise for any inconveniences this may cause you. Do let me know If I can be of any further assistance.

Thanks,
Adele
